Normal Distribution:


is a probability distribution that is symmetric about the mean, showing that data near the mean are more frequent in occurrence than data far from the mean. In graph form, normal distribution will appear as a bell curve.

We say the data is "normally distributed":
normal distribution with mean median mode at center
The Normal Distribution has:
  • mean = median = mode
  • symmetry about the center
  • 50% of values less than the mean
    and 50% greater than the mean
